Gatherli ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile app that helps people organise and join sports games with their group. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the app:

• Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account.
• Activity data: groups you belong to, games you create or join, RSVPs, scores, and ELO ratings.
• Social data: friend connections you make within the app.
• Device permissions: camera access (to set a profile photo), location access (to discover nearby courts), and push notification tokens (to send game reminders).
• Usage data: crash reports and performance metrics collected automatically to improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To enable group and game features within the app.
• To send notifications about games, invitations, and activity in your groups.
• To display nearby sports courts on the map.
• To calculate rankings and statistics.
• To diagnose crashes and improve app performance.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Auth, and Firebase Storage), hosted in the European Union. Firebase is operated by Google and subject to Google's security standards. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited cases:

• Other users: your display name and profile photo are visible to members of groups you join.
• Google Firebase: our infrastructure provider, used to store and process data.
• Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Camera & Location

Camera access is used solely to let you set or update your profile photo. Location access is used solely to show nearby sports courts on the map. Neither is used for tracking or advertising. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Children

Gatherli is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
